A CLINICAL PROSPECTIVE STUDY OF CHRONIC PANCREATITIS

Introduction: Chronic pancreatitis (CP) is a relentlessly progressive fibroinflammatory process, resulting in the destruction of endocrine and exocrine elements, which may eventually lead to pancreatic insufficiency. Although previous reports on treatment CP have yielded considerable data, our study hopes give validation managing patients conservatively with confidence. Aim: A prospective CP. Methods: This was conducted Department General Surgery, SVRRGGH, affiliated Sri Venkateswara Medical College Tirupati. The materials for were collected from presenting surgery outpatient department emergency room features during period March 2020–April 2021 included study. Results: incidence high age group 44.46±9.16, 63.3% males 36.7% females. most common symptom pain abdomen. All data statistically analyzed using software, namely SPSS 21.0 Instat. Microsoft Word Excel been used generate tables graphs. Results continuous measurements are presented Mean±SD, results categorical number (%). Conclusion: Conservative management shows 100% relief, 33.3% had steatorrhea, while surgical 80% relief steatorrhea. Hence can be treated effectively conservative management.
